Chicks are here!

The first batch of chicks are doing well! Nice and quiet which means they are not too hot and not too cold!

If the chicks are chirping loudly and bunching together under the heat lamp, that means they are too cold. If they are spread out around just the edges of the brooder (far away from the heat source) then they are too hot. If there is an even spread of softly peeping chicks throughout the brooder, then the temperature is right!

These chicks will be moved onto pasture once they are feathered out (in 3-4 weeks) and will be supplemented with certified organic feed and moved to fresh pasture daily!

They will be ready for your freezers end of June. Please get in touch with me by submitting a contact form on this website (or emailing jubileefarmsmn@gmail.com directly) to reserve your birds or with any questions!
